Intuitive Birthdays and Work Anniversaries import

The Web App introduces an intuitive import flow that lets you bring team dates into BirthdayBot in minutes, not days.

You can import any file that includes user emails and dates, and BirthdayBot will automatically map:

  • Employee birthdays

  • Work anniversaries

Once uploaded, all dates appear in the calendar. Before activation, every date can be reviewed, edited, and confirmed, so you stay fully in control. After that, BirthdayBot handles the rest, automatically sending reminders and celebration messages in Slack at the right time.


Not sure you have all the data? 

You can bulk-ask teammates directly in Slack to share their birthdays. Need to adjust a few dates or add entries manually? That’s built in too. And when BirthdayBot is added to a Slack channel, it can proactively prompt users to submit their birthday themselves, no chasing required.

The result: fewer errors, no missed milestones, and far less manual coordination.

Privacy and control

Our data privacy and protection rules remain unchanged:

  • BirthdayBot never collects or stores the year of birth — only day and month

  • If a birth year appears in an imported file, it is automatically ignored

  • Hire dates are managed by admins only; users cannot edit or overwrite them

This ensures celebrations stay respectful, compliant, and easy to manage at scale.
